We're keeping it slow and steady, a little hazy, yet undeniably juicy... nonetheless, groovy.
Greetings from Düsseldorf! The first week of our European shows has been a success, thanks to the lovely friends who helped make it happen—from accommodations to party bookings. You know who you are, but a special shoutout to Lena, Lucas, Lucas #2, Greg, Justus, Hitoshi, Joni, Denzel, AJ, and everyone else. We couldn’t have done it without you! <3
This week we will be spending sometime in Brussels followed by Helsinki. Catch us at Funke in Ghent on Friday night and Saturday at Postbar in Helsinki.
On April 27th, we're back in Brooklyn for an early chugger Sunday at Honey's! Joining us are special guests Warzou, the Big Science label enigma, and Nirwana Seeker, who runs Nummer Music. Dialing in the low end and letting it ride—a daytime drift, let the music guide.
Other happenings in May…
May 10th Honey Trap for the first time in San Francisco with Mozhgan and Solar followed by May 25th in NYC, rooftop affair with Elena Colombi and Sol.
Ok now for some tunes 🎶 my listenings lately look like this.
Brainwave Research Center - Psychic Antenna [R.i.O]
For those looking for a raw, experimental vibe, blending cosmic trance with slow-motion acid and krautrock influences. The album creates a dynamic atmosphere that shifts between chaotic energy and serene, immersive soundscapes.
Priori - Pareidolia Remixed [Midgar]
The remixes push the original’s experimental edge, adding layers of intricate textures and rhythmic complexity while maintaining a deep yet hypnotic vibe.
Arkajo / Dorisburg & Efraim Kent - AniaraWL04 [Aniara]
It is all about the B-side, minimalism and ambient influences, while the hypnotic, slowly evolving grooves build a deep, immersive atmosphere.
TC LK by TC LK [Phase Group]
Phase Group's first release of 2025, TC LK, marks the debut album by label founders MR TC and Lo Kindre, exploring darker, heavier territory with mind-bending sound design, warped basslines, and dub-influenced rhythms, blending club-ready tracks with experimental, otherworldly atmospheres.
Beatrice Melissa - Secret
The debut album by Beatrice M. and Melissa Weikart merges two distinct identities into a single, enigmatic, and androgynous character, blending genres like club music, ambient, and trip-hop, all while evoking a serene, otherworldly atmosphere. Pure perfection. ✨
Purelink - Faith [Peak Oil]
For their second album, the NYC-based trio blends ethereal soundscapes, ambient dub, live instrumentation, and introspective vocals.
Funk Porcini - Saxathon [Ninja Tune]
Very saxy-music. 🎷
Quelza - Pensa Poetico [Dekmantel]
This new release blends intricate soundscapes, adventurous rhythms, and dancefloor propulsion into a dynamic, boundary-pushing exploration of breakbeats, IDM, and atmospheric depth.
Tauceti - Emeraude [Non Series]
Another 10/10 trippy & hypnotic EP by the French producer, Tauceti.
YHWH Nailgun - 45 Pounds [AD 93]
A ferocious and unrelenting album that fuses experimental rock with an intense sense of urgency. The experimental NYC rock scene is more than alive here with a beautiful overtone of chaos.
Nuke Watch - Worlds Gone M.A.D. [Trilogy Tapes]
An oldie but goodie, omnivorous, dub-diffused, modal electronic jazz skronk by Chris Hontos and Aaron Anderson's Nuke Watch ensemble Nuke Watch ensemble, hitting square between the zonked eyes of Ka Baird, Spencer Clark hallucinations, Treader curios, or Drone Operatør audness.
Jan Jelinek - Kosmischer Pitch [FAITICHE]
Jan Jelinek’s Kosmischer Pitch returns in a 20th anniversary edition, offering a remastered version of his 2005 classic, infused with previously unreleased material, marking a detour from his earlier sample-based works with a hypnotic, motorik kosmiche sound that echoes krautrock and post-rock influences.
Tune in to the cosmic ghostly sounds…
We’re dropping off G-Strings along the way all summer long, let us know if you want one. Handmade and limited-edition supplies while they last on Bandcamp.
Listen back to our latest radio on Refuge Worldwide with Second Contact, Jonah Considine & myself.
Until next time!
