Makes you tickle, makes you sniff,
A name you’ll hear, but we must conceal.
Once, it made peaks shake and move,
Now it returns with a groove to prove.

Musica Maestro!
Alright, now that all the announcements are out of the way, we can move on to my favorite segment: music. New music, old music, and timeless music—everything in between. Amo la musica!
A little mix of what I have been listening to lately…
Gamma Knife - Kuts [Invisible, Inc.]
Out of the murky, mystic world of Komodo Kolektif slides the Gamma Knife.
In the corner of a dank, dark mind, a nebulous notion condenses and solidifies—featureless and blind. From that Komodo Klay, a new creature is hacked, molded, and (mal)formed.
Bushwacka! - Sound As A Pound Vol. 3 [SAAP!]
Something classic 🎤
GǼG - Anarcho Disco Volume 2 [Optimo]
Yup, disco made it to my listening list. Anything released under the Optimo label is bound to have a good twist.
DISKO KLUBB boss MONKEY TIMERS, a leader of Tokyo's underground disco scene, and KEITA SANO, who has been gaining attention for his releases on labels worldwide, have launched the project 'GǼG.' Using a variety of sampling and unique FX, their music has cultivated a distinctive GǼG sound—psychedelic and anarchic.
Holy Tongue - The Tumbling Psychic Joy of Now [AD 93]
The Tumbling Psychic Joy of Now, a ritualistic and expansive collaborative album between Holy Tongue and Shackleton, transcends the sum of its parts. A psychedelic, ritualistic dub journey, it oscillates between the maximal and the minimal, the internal and the external, the micro and the macro, ecstasy and agony—capturing all the tumbling psychic joy of now.
Rodio & Mammarella - Musica E Computer [Slow Motion]
‘Musica E Computer' is a momentous release from Slow Motion label head Fabrizio Mammarella and Rodion recorded in the legendary Marche Synth Museum (Museo Del Synth Marchigiano). A fully functional recording space that houses a fusion of several private collections of Italian electronic musical instruments gathered over the many years since their creation. The Marche region, being home to some of the most ground-breaking and foundational instruments, has created the likes of Crumar, Farfisa and Elka with innovative use from the likes of Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd and Vangelis.
G.F.X. - Eternal [Magic Ritmo]
G.F.X. is the alias of Geoff Waterston, a musician, producer and engineer from the coastal town of Whitley Bay, North East England. G.F.X. was born from a youth spent tampering with electronics, taping drum beats off the radio and resourcefully discovering his creativity. Performing originally locally, G.F.X. quickly became a name spotted on the line up of many acid house nights that were popping up across the North east, as the area began to receive their first transfusion of acid house.
V/A - “A Compilation” [Astral VIP]
Shuffling round eternal are the rats of this town, named after a swamp and full of the creatures to suit it. Filth lines the streets as strangers stare, yet would you rather be anywhere else?
Hands down my favorite compilation from the gutters of Berlin.
Shelter - Checkmates In Dub [Emotional Response]
The rise of Digital Dub is often traced to the groundbreaking "Under Me Sleng Teng" by Prince Jammy / Wayne Smith, but it was the UK's later reversioning – adding electronic drums to roots and steppers rhythms – that gave birth to the unique sound of Digi-Dub.
Shelter pays homage to this tradition, drawing inspiration from the likes of Alpha & Omega, Bush Chemist, and Jonah Dan. His process is as raw as it is innovative: building an analog setup with a MIDI sequencer, DCO synth, live vocals, and sound effects fed through Boss pedals. Digital drums from the KPR77 and DD10 are layered in, with everything mixed live to tape, no overdubs, capturing the raw, live energy of the performance.
J. McFarlane's Reality Guest - Whoopee [Felt Sense]
Simply a vibrant, experimental fusion of jazz, funk, and freeform sound, celebrating spontaneity, creative freedom, and the joyous unpredictability of music.
What else do we need?
Biomontana - Biomontana E.P. [Evasione Digitale]
Biomontana is just another moniker of the succesful duo formed by bassist Flavio Gemma and Massimiliano Bocchio (Urbanatribù). Based in Alessandria and devoted to all kinds of electronic wizardry, Biomontana, compared to Urbanatribù, is more related to their Progressive/Goa side.
I would play this at the Hacienda if it still existed. 😎
